Christian Sermons Online. Knowing and Doing God's Will

…We sometimes wonder what people think about us, or what this or that person’s opinion is on some issue. What if we need to know the will of God, brothers? The will of God on some issue? In some situations this will is very easy to recognize. For example, brother Sergei wants to lend money to brother Dima, not just borrow, but borrow at interest! Sergei thought: “Can I do this? What is God’s will on this matter?” It’s easy and simple – you just need to take the Bible and read it. The will of God is clearly expressed there on this issue. In another situation, brother Dima thinks: “At work there is a box that seems to be “orphaned”, no one needs it. Can I bring him home? What is God’s will?” Easy and simple, brother Dima, read it in the Word of God. But there are times when the will of God is more difficult to know because it is simply not clearly revealed in the Word. Do you agree? For example. The Church of God here in the Kirov region is faced with a choice: “Do we need another building or should we continue to meet here?” Have you read the answer to this question anywhere in the Word of God? I haven't met either. And so the church faces the question: “What is the will of God?” In Old Testament times, the Jews, in addition to the written Word, had... In such situations, when the Word did not directly answer some question, King David simply came to the prophet and said: “Ask the Lord whether I should go against the Philistines or not?” The prophet asked the Lord and informed the king of the will of God: “Thus says the Lord...”. Whether fortunately or unfortunately, we don’t do that today. And we are faced with a problem. We need to seek the will of God. Today my sermon is on this topic: “Know the will of God.” The most important thing we need to start with is to answer the question: “Is it even possible today to know the will of God, today on one issue, and tomorrow, perhaps, on another?” The answer to this question is found in the letter to the Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 17. Let the Lord Himself answer us through the Apostle Paul: “Do not therefore be foolish, but understand what is the will of God.” This is Ephesians 5:17. It seems to me that the Apostle Paul calls people foolish who believed then or believe today that the will of God cannot be known. This means, brothers, we started with the most basic thing: “Is it possible for the Church of Christ in the Kirov region to know the will of God on this issue of acquiring premises?” The answer from God's Word is yes! Is this amen? (Amen). We've got the basics figured out. It's still possible. Regarding this question or any other. But for our part, brothers, we must do something about this. There are certain conditions that we need to fulfill for this. I see what you are writing down and it is correct. Be sure to record this for yourself. There will be several conditions. The first condition is very important - we must seek the will of God. With all my heart. The Lord said that whoever seeks will find. Is it true? We need not just to seek the will of God, but to seek it with all our hearts, sincerely, to desire to find it at all costs. Turn to Psalm 119, verse 2: “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with all their hearts.” Here is your first condition, brothers. We must seek the will of God with all our hearts. Second condition. Be completely clean from sin. Now I will explain what I mean. You will say, there is no such person who would be without sin. This is absolutely true. A person seeking the will of God should not remain in sin, but should be clean from it. In the 1st village John chapter 3, verse 6 says: “No one who abides in Him sins” or also chapter 3, verse 9: “No one who is born of God commits sin.” Do you understand what is meant here? A Christian cannot REMAIN in sin! Therefore, a person seeking the will of God must be clean from remaining in sin. We are like a vessel, and the will of God is a precious balm. The Lord will not be able to pour it into it while our vessel is dirty. The Lord said: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” This is from Ev. Matthew 5:8. If they see God, then all the more will they know His will. Here's another way to understand it. If the Word of God tells me that the state in which I am is a sinful state, but I, nevertheless, continue to remain in it and now say that I want to know the will of God, then is this possible? If I neglect the revealed will of God, why would God reveal to me the hidden things? Logical? He won't do this. This was the second condition - a person must be clean from sin. Third condition. If you want to know the will of God you must be completely empty. You can write in brackets - do not have an opinion. More precisely, not having your own will. You can have an opinion. Here's what it means. When we ask God to reveal His will to us, we seem to ask Him to write it in the form of an indication on a sheet of paper, but at the same time the sheet that we give Him is already covered with writing. Covered with what WE think! “Where should I write down My will if everything is already written down here?” Do you understand what I'm talking about? This means that often when we seek God's will, we already have our own. Give God a blank sheet of paper! Did you get the idea? If you have already decided everything for God, you have your own decision, then why seek God’s will? Is it true? This is also true when you are trying to understand some difficult verse in Scripture. If you come into it already with your own opinion, it will be difficult for God to reveal anything to you. You need to come to God completely emptied, clean, with an empty vessel. Then only we ask: “Lord, pour Your will into this vessel, write it on this blank sheet of paper.” Empty your will first, forget your decision. Next condition. What count is this already? (Fourth). Okay, fourth condition. We must hear the will of God when He expresses it. I think you don't expect to hear the voice of God as if from a megaphone from Heaven! God doesn't say that. You know, at first some were unpleasant when I said that we are God's sheep. I know this because the Word says so. Moreover, I am proud to be a sheep of God! To put it mildly, sheep are not wise animals. Let's face it, a sheep is a stupid animal. The Lord says that a sheep cannot do anything without a Shepherd. Paul says: “Everyone has turned aside, every one to his own way.” But one thing the sheep knows for sure is the voice of the shepherd! Let's read Ev. together. John chapter 10 verse 27: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Also there is verse 4, second part: “...the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.” The sheep may know nothing but the voice of the shepherd. Therefore, speaking about the 4th condition, you need to hear the voice of the Shepherd when He speaks, when He shows His will. We may have many voices within. Only one of them is the voice of the Shepherd. He usually speaks very quietly. He never screams. Therefore, you must be prepared to discern what He said. Thus, hear the will of God. Fifth condition. Accept God's will when you have heard it as it is. This means that we cannot adjust the will of God. We must accept her as she is. The Scripture passage for this point is Ev. Luke 22:42. I won’t read it out, I’ll retell what it says. Christ prays in the Garden of Gethsemane. What is He asking? His desire is for this bitter cup to pass from Him. “Carry this cup past me...” and adds “... however, not as I want, but as You do.” The words “Thy will be done” mean that I will accept Your will as it is, without changes. Let it be hard, let it be hard for me, but I will accept it... I know that You are my loving Father, that Your will is always for the good of Your children. Even if I feel bad, I will accept Your will. “Not my will, but yours be done...” Accept the will of God, which you seek with all your heart, as it will be. Another condition. What's the count? Sixth. It is not enough to accept the will of God, it must be fulfilled. The sixth condition is to fulfill the will of God. Even if the Lord's will turned out to be not what you imagined it to be. Accept and fulfill it. Link – Ev. Matthew chapter 7:21: “Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord!” God!" He who does the will of My Father in heaven will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Doing what? The will of God. That is, exactly what we are talking about today – the will of God. The Lord says: “Not the one who calls Me “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom, not even the one who says: “Reveal Your will to me,” but the one who accepts it and fulfills it.” This is our 6th condition. What if it is difficult for us to fulfill it, brothers? Psalm 142, verse 10. Perhaps David was in a similar state. In verse 10 he says, “Teach me to do Your will...” This means you need to learn this too, brothers! It is not enough to accept God’s will, it is important to fulfill it. And if we cannot fulfill it right away, we ask: “Teach me to fulfill it, Father.” There is one more issue that we need to look into. I have given, in my opinion, 6 conditions that must be fulfilled in order to know the will of God. Now the question I want to address is: “Is it possible to reject the will of God?” Is it possible to pray for the Lord to reveal His will, to cleanse one’s vessel, to hear the voice of the Shepherd when He speaks, but then reject His will? The answer is in Ev. Luke 7:30: “But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not being baptized by him.” Not being baptized by John. So what is the answer to this question? Is it possible to reject God's will? Yes! Someone may seek the will of God, but when the Lord reveals it, he may say: “No, this is not how I imagined it all, I’m moving away from this matter.” This means he rejected the will of God. One more question... I didn't know whether to split today's word into two parts or say it all at once. I don't think I've been talking for long. Has anyone timed how much I talk? Are you very tired? If you are not very tired, then I will answer one more question. So, so far we have considered the following questions: Is it possible to know the will of God today? Answer: you can! What conditions? I listed them 6. We examined the third question: is it possible to reject the will of God? Answer: possible! Finally, the 4th question is very important - how will the Lord reveal this will to me? Where can I look for the will of God? The answer to this question is in 4 subparagraphs. First, we seek the will of God in the Word. Sometimes, you know, we are faced with some decision and don’t know what to do. We take Scripture, seemingly for the purpose of ordinary reading, and suddenly, almost on the first page, you read something and it dawns on you from above. After all, you were looking for the answer to this very question! And then the Lord reveals everything to you. Right there in this verse that you think you discovered completely by accident! This is where you need to look for the will of God - first of all - in the Word of God. The second direction from which the discovery of God's will can come is prayer. Many of us think that prayer is a one-way conversation, but it is not! Prayer is a dialogue, but not a monologue! This is two-way communication. It happens, of course, when the Lord listens to you attentively, but it also happens that he answers right there, during prayer. Prayer is a channel, understand? The channel through which a child communicates with his Father. Remember for yourself, I can’t believe that you haven’t had a similar experience. You are praying about something, and suddenly a thought comes to mind. Don't say that you accidentally remembered something. Maybe the Lord answered you right there. This happens very often. You just need to listen. This may not even directly answer your question. You know, some Christians begin prayer with a pencil and a blank piece of paper. They write down what the Lord reveals during prayer. This is not something supernatural, I'm talking about real things, brothers! At this point I want to say that the Lord especially reveals Himself when prayer is accompanied by fasting. I know that today many of you are in fasting and prayer - glory to the Lord, brothers! Satan is now tearing up and lashing out. And what’s interesting is that we can talk about this openly, unlike an individual post, because this is an announced post. Today we have a collective fast. Here you can read from the book of Acts, chapter 13, the first three verses: “At Antioch, in the church there there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon, who is called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manael, a fellow pupil of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul . While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart Barnabas and Saul for Me for the work to which I have called them.” Then they, having fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, sent them away...” As I understand it, the will of God was manifested in exactly this way. Is it true? The third direction where we need to seek the will of God is the church. The Lord manifests His will through the assembly of saints. This means you come to church with some kind of concern, need. You pray about it. You just come to the meeting and hear from your brother the answer to your question, to what is tormenting you. Your brother or sister may not even know that they are answering your question, but the Lord is answering you through him or her. Or the preacher says a word and you feel as if he is preaching to you, as if he learned from someone what is bothering you. Thus, God, through His church, answers you. And finally, the 4th direction, where to look for the will of God - in circumstances. There are so many stories that brothers tell about how circumstances themselves helped or hindered what they wanted to do. The Lord warns His children through circumstances or, on the contrary, pushes them. I'm sure this has happened many times in your life. I have given you four directions from which God's answer can come. Today we discussed the topic of knowing the will of God. Today our community is seeking this will of the Lord. We need space. Which one exactly? Where? I don't know. And you don't know. I am also confident that the Lord is able to answer our questions. David said that blessed are those who seek the will of God. Be sure that the Lord sees this search, He accepts our service, He sees the heart of each of us. Do you believe this with all your heart? (Amen). God bless you!

Introduction.

Friends! Every Christian thinks at least once in his life about the question of whether it is worth seeking and doing the will of God. In fact, this question is more than important. I want to offer you a couple of thoughts that will intrigue you not only to ask this question, but to find it, this will, and make every effort to fulfill it.

First thought:

« Enter in at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many go in through it; For narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, and few find it.” (Matt. 7:13,14)

"Not everyone who says to Me: 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, But doing the will of the Father My Heavenly. Many will say to Me on that day: Lord! God! Have we not prophesied in Your name? and was it not in Your name that they cast out demons? and didn’t they do many miracles in Your name?” (Matt. 7:21,22)

Conclusions:

1. - Not everyone who goes to church will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who find and fulfill the will of God.

2. - You can prophesy, cast out demons, perform miracles, etc. and not be among those who do the will of God.

Thought two:

I will voice one more reason, in my opinion, more important. It would be more pleasing to God to see our desire to seek and do His will out of love. I love my Lord, and therefore I want to find, know and do His will. I want to dedicate my life to what is important to Him!

What does it mean to do the will of God?

Our will is it is our ability to make decisions.

God's will - these are decisions that God makes

Do God's will - is to live not by your own decisions, but by the decisions of God.

This means getting up from your knees every morning as a servant of Christ. Get up from your knees with the words - “Lord, may Your holy will be done for everything this day!”

Seeking and Doing the Will of God

How did the heroes of the Bible relate to the will of God:

Jesus - “I do nothing without seeing it from the Father” . those. He began each day by discussing with His Father the plans for the day.

Paul - “Who are you, Lord?” and “What will you have me do?” . Paul not only recognized the Lordship of Christ, but immediately questioned the Lord's Plans for his life.

Later in the letters, Paul says that every day he "crucified" his flesh, denying his will. Every day, he rose from his knees as a servant of Christ.

Moses - “Make everything according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.” Every day Moses was required to become a slave of God in order to fulfill not his own will, but the will of the One who chose him.

The Bible is replete with similar examples; study them and you will begin to better understand how to seek and how to do the will of God.

Ways to Know God's Will:

Prayer (Sincere prayer brings understanding of the Creator's plans for his creation)

Fast (Read about what a real fast should be like in Isaiah 58.)

An example of how fasting affects understanding of God's will: “In Antioch, in the church there there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon, who is called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manael, a fellow pupil of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”(Acts 13:1,2)

Privacy. This is a special type of fasting (fasting + prayer + silent reflection). This is not an easy time - it will require all your moral, spiritual and physical strength. But it's worth it. I start each month with one day of solitude with fasting and prayer. The result is an understanding of what I should do this month. Where to direct your energy. I take with me only the Bible, paper, pen and of course prayer. Friends, solitude with God is the strongest way to know God’s will for your life! Use this tool.

Where to Use God's Will

In questions:

Where to live

In what ministry to serve people?

Who will be my husband (wife)

Where should I work

How to distribute finances, etc.

Using the will of God will save these areas of your life from life-changing mistakes, reduce the chances of spiritual failures, give fruit to your deeds and decisions, and save you from eternal destruction.

Negligence in doing the will of God.

Negligence in doing God's will is ignorance or willful disregard of God's will.

In service

In a relationship with God

In relationships with people

In progress

Negligence in fulfilling the will of God will lead you through falls, deviations from God, will take away all the juices of your life, your deeds will be fruitless and, as a result, eternal destruction will await you.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, I will read one more verse, encouraging you to vigilantly monitor your life to see if it is within the framework of God’s will:

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling work out your salvation because God works you have both desire and action according to [His] good pleasure "(Phil.2:12-13)

commit salvation is closely related to doing the will of God.

Everything that God gave us, He gave us for us, so that we could be happy using it.

Romans 11:29... the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

Vocation- rank and call. In the New Testament it is usually used when speaking of a call to Salvation.

Immutable- not causing remorse or regret and unchanging. God has invested abilities in us and given us a purpose; He will never repent of this and will not change it, even if we do not fulfill it. And He gave everything “for good, and not for evil, to give a future and hope.”

Who is a reasonable person

Proverbs 20:5 Thoughts in a man's heart are deep waters, but reasonable man scoops them out.

Thoughts- 1. advice, consultation, wisdom, prudence; 2. plans, plans, enterprises, intentions; 3. disobedience, stubbornness, disobedience, opposition.

Heart- 1. heart; 2. mind, reason. In Hebrew it is used to refer to the entire inner man, including his mind, will, thoughts, desires, emotions.

Deep waters- impenetrable, mysterious, shrouded in mystery.

Reasonable Human- one that has: 1. reason, understanding, prudence, meaning; 2. skill, art.

Scoops out- pull out, pull out, take out, use.

People decide for themselves how and where to use their gifts. A reasonable person is able to work on his feelings in order to fulfill the will of the One who gave these gifts.

Doing the will of God

1 Corinthians 1:30 From Him you also are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption...

We have the opportunity to reflect Jesus on earth, to do everything like Him. When a child knows his father's wishes, he fulfills it. If dad is kind and merciful, being obedient is easy and pleasant.

Doing the will of God is not difficult, because Jesus told and showed everything: “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” To do this, you need to know how it is in the sky. Our job is to demonstrate God's will on earth, just as Jesus did.

Most people do not know how God feels, what He thinks and wants. This is our task - to show so that others understand: “So this is what He is like, it turns out!” Healings, liberations, miracles really demonstrate this.

Sermon or works

Paul preached in Athens, his speech was carefully studied by theologians, but no one there repented. After that, he went to Corinth, his speeches were not recorded there, but he cared about people and showed the will of the Father. He didn’t try to attract attention to himself, he only said what was necessary. The result is a living, growing church.

Each of us has an incredible calling. You should not engage in squabbles, political movements, or disputes. Let's get busy with the will of God. To reveal it - to show it - is to know, to understand, to be where they study, to destroy the works of the devil.

Make yourself a living sacrifice

Romans 12:1,2 Therefore I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, present your bodies in a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, for your reasonable service, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you to know what God's will is, good, pleasing and perfect.

Sacrifice - you will be happy if you serve wisely.

“Cognize” has many meanings, here it means to try, test, check, as a result of testing, approve and recognize as suitable.

Slave of Righteousness

Romans 6:16 Don’t you know that whoever you give yourselves as slaves to obey, you are slaves to whom you obey, or slaves of sin to death, or obedience to righteousness?

When we hear “slave of righteousness,” the first reaction is: screwed, slavery again. In fact, the result: now I’ll just be happy. Cooperation with God is impossible without complete submission to Him. Doing it your own way is terrible.

Destroy the works of the devil

1 John 3:8 Whoever commits sin is of the devil, because the devil sinned first. For this reason the Son of God appeared, to destroy the works of the devil.

It is God's will to destroy everything that the devil has done here.

Renewal of the Mind

Philippians 2:5 For let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus...

Refresh your thinking- distinguish between what comes from hell and what from heaven. Renewal begins with repentance in living according to one's own will. These are the entrance doors through which we return to our original calling: not to be spectators, but to participate. Become a point of contact with the Kingdom of God on earth.

The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power

1 Corinthians 4:19,20 but I will soon come to you, if the Lord wills, and I will test not the words of the proud, but the power, for The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

The kingdom is not in words, but in power - manifestation. Jesus has already done everything that needs to be done - saved. Salvation means healing, deliverance and forgiveness of sins.

Our job is to meet the Father and find out His will. If you can’t do it yourself, find someone who knows and ask.

Human plans

Jacob's plans

God's plan was to save mankind. Jacob's plans were completely different: to receive blessings, to achieve success, to get the woman he loved, to multiply, to return to the land of Abraham and Isaac. He didn’t think at all about saving humanity.

God's plans are always far greater than our plans. When people do not take them into account, sooner or later a crisis occurs.

Jacob also experienced a crisis. He returned to Canaan, and there he encountered Esau, who had dreamed of killing him for many years. With him were 400 armed men. At this point, Jacob lost control of his life. I could no longer achieve my goal using my own methods.

Revolution of values

He was left alone, and then Someone fought with Him. It was God who fought to bring Jacob to the fulfillment of His plan. God damaged his thigh in this struggle - a symbol of support. Jacob felt helpless and empty.

But then he began to fight for his blessing, because he realized that his whole life depended on God: “I won’t let you go until you bless.” A reminder of this struggle remained with him for the rest of his life - he remained lame. But also, my name and my whole life changed. The name Israel means "he who overcomes with God."

God's will for us

What is the will of God

God's will- this is the best. She is good, i.e. kind, pleasing, i.e. acceptable, harmonious, ideal and perfect. For it to be fulfilled, you need to know it, you need to cooperate with Him.

Psalm 31:8“I will admonish you, I will guide you on the path you should follow; I will guide you"My eye is upon you."

God wants to instruct us, teach us, guide us, watch over us.

Psalm 31:9“Don’t be like a horse, like a foolish little horse whose jaws needs to be curbed bridle and bit, so that they may obey you.”

A hinny is a mixture of a horse and a donkey, a symbol of a mixture of strength and stubbornness. He is senseless - that means he does things that contradict common sense. God intervenes to protect, to redirect - to curb.

God's will happens

The perfect will of God-His perfect plan for every person. For example, He wants everyone to be saved. People may agree with it or not, they may interfere with it.

Eat sovereign will of God- one that will be fulfilled, no matter what, does not depend on our consent. For example, He will come a second time to earth, as recorded in the Bible, no matter what.

Permissive will- something that a person really wants, and God allows, although this contradicts the perfect will. Even if it may not lead to very good results.

freedom of choice

Our choice

We can choose: to obey God or not. We often rely on sensations to determine what God's will is for us. But it's not right.

The condition for making the right choice is to first acknowledge Jesus as Lord or Master of your life. Lord is the title of the Creator, i.e. The one who has the right to rule. This needs to be acknowledged.

God gave us the right to choose - to be angry or repent, to love or hate, to be happy or sad. This shows whether we recognize the Lordship of Christ in a particular situation. For the sake of Him and respect for Him, voluntarily humble yourself, i.e. willingness to carry out someone else's will when one's own will is opposed.

Final decision

To make a qualitative or final decision means to decide that the bridges have been burned. There is always a temptation to make a poor decision. The ministry of angels comes to quality service and breakthrough comes.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus wrestled as a man with his flesh to make the right decision according to God's will. And when he accepted, then the angels began. God blesses the right decisions.

Reveal your desires to God

Philippians 4:6,7 Do not be anxious about anything, but always be in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. make your desires known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Open your desires - not just tell, but pour out, i.e. say clearly and specifically all fears, despair, expectations, hopes , pour out emotions, thoughts. And through this, connect with Him, get closer. It is usually believed that before communicating with God you need to calm down and then speak. But there is principle of Divine exchange: He took our sins, and gives us peace, shalom. Then comes clarity, understanding, strength, energy.

The cares of this age

Holy Gospel of Luke 21:34 Look after yourself so that your hearts are not heavy overeating and drunkenness and the worries of life.

Worries and worries aggravate, strain - lead to a state of burden, make one unable to love, forgive, trust God and people, a person becomes angry and compressed. It is difficult for him to rejoice and praise God. Life remains without fruit.

The devil is looking for someone to devour. Worries are one way. A person begins to imagine what bad things can happen - this is the roar of the devil. If people accept, then they allow themselves to be absorbed.

Beacons for the guidance of the Holy Spirit

  • God's Word - the Bible has advice for specific and general situations.
  • The Holy Spirit through personal revelation and guidance must not deviate from Scripture. Revelations need to be discussed; everything cannot be taken literally.
  • Common sense.
26.03.2017

At the Sunday service on March 26 at the Living Faith Church, the sermon “How can I do the will of God?”
Church minister Sergei Nikolaenko shared a word about why it is so important to fulfill the will of God, what God’s will is, how to recognize and fulfill it.

1. Why is it so important to do God's will?

“Not everyone who says to Me: “Lord, Lord!” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”(Matt. 7:20-21).

“And the world passes away, and its lusts, but he who does the will of God abides forever.”(1 John 2:17).

“Instruct your opponents with meekness, whether God will not give them repentance to the knowledge of the truth, so that they will be freed from the snare of the devil, who has ensnared them in his will.”(2 Tim. 2:25-26).

If we do not do the will of God, then we automatically become doers of the will of the devil. There is no third.
Only by doing the will of God can a person be happy. And he will be happy to the extent that he has fulfilled God's will for his life.

2.What is the will of God?

Θέλημα - will, desire, desire;

The will of God is God’s perfect plan for your life, the mission and purpose for which you were born on this Earth!
There is a general and individual will of God for every Christian.
Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15-21; 1 Peter 2:15; 1 Thess. 4:3; 5:18

To know and fulfill the general will of God,

  • To be born again (John 3:3).
  • Read the Bible 1-3 times (1 Tim. 4:13,16).
  • Fulfill the Word of God (James 1:21-25).
  • Be a dedicated and active member of the Church (Eph. 3:9,10).

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you to the end of the age. Amen"(Matt. 28:19,20).

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification...”(1 Tim.4:3).

1.Your circle of salvation: family, friends, acquaintances, classmates, classmates, etc. – your prayer list (Diaries 10:24,44-48; Diaries 16:30-33).
2. Your calling and purpose: to practice and develop the gifts and talents given by God (1 Peter 4:10).

“And the word of the Lord came to me: Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”(Jer.1:4-5).

3. How to come to know the individual will of God for your life?

God will place those who are faithful in small things over big things.

“He who is faithful in a little is also faithful in much, and he who is unfaithful in a little is also unfaithful in much. So, if you have not been faithful in unrighteous wealth, who will trust you with what is true? And if you have not been faithful in what belongs to others, who will give you what is yours? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be zealous for one and neglect the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”(Luke 16:10-13).

God will place the one who is faithful in someone else’s over his own.
Your individual will or calling can change due to various factors: both your spiritual growth and sudden changes by the will of God (cataclysm, persecution, illness, family, money).

4. What does it take to do God's will?

  1. Sacrifice (Rom.12:1,2)
  2. Patience (Heb. 10:36)
  3. Value time and be prudent (Eph. 5:15-17)
