Turkey meatballs with vegetables

To make meatballs juicy and fragrant, they can be stewed with vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 620 g of prepared minced turkey;
  • five potato tubers;
  • one large onion and carrots;
  • one large egg;
  • three sprigs of basil;
  • half a liter of sour cream;
  • two teaspoons of adjika (tomato puree).

Cooking method:

  1. Three potatoes and carrots on a fine grater, finely chop the onion.
  2. We mix the vegetables, then combine with minced meat, add the egg and seasonings, mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Fry the meatballs in hot oil for two minutes on each side and put in a saucepan.
  4. Gently pour a little water into the pan, then put the fermented milk product, spices and adjika. If the dish is intended not only for adults, but also for children, then it is better to replace adjika with tomato paste. Put chopped basil there, mix.
  5. Pour the sauce into the meatballs and simmer the dish for 20 minutes.

Soak bread in milk for 5 minutes. Then lightly squeeze out excess liquid.

We cut the meat coarsely, pass through a meat grinder with onions and bread.


Salt the minced meat, beat in the egg.

You can also add carrots to the meat, raw potatoes, zucchini, cauliflower - 100 grams of vegetables will be enough.

Boil the rice in salted water for 7-10 minutes, and then wash it. Pour rice into the minced meat, mix.

We form balls. For convenience, we wet our hands with water before each ball or once with oil - then the minced meat will not stick to our hands.

I will not fry the meatballs, but you can fry them in oil, after rolling them in breadcrumbs or flour. You can also bake for 7-9 minutes at 200° to form a crust.


We place the balls in a heat-resistant form or a ceramic pot, pour sour cream diluted with 200 milliliters of water, add bay leaf, you can put a little garlic in the sauce - for a piquant flavor. Sour cream can be replaced with low-fat cream, kefir.

Bake for an hour at 180°.
